In other words, I've a new xanga.

http://www.xanga.com/Dress_Like_Your_Niece

Thursday, May 12, 2005

Damnit Claudia, why do you have to be such a dirty little girl? There is simply so much dust on one of my beloved negatives that I possess of you that I just don't know what I'm going to do.

Wait, yes I do...I'll need to borrow your most sacred antistatic cloth, Abbey.

Speaking of Abbey, is your birthday party still on for tomarrow at the park?

Concept of the day: you were the quickest sperm and the luckiest egg. You should really feel quite special.

Wednesday, May 11, 2005

Today wasn't by any account dreadful, but neither was it a laugh and a half.

I've been going along this year, just floating down the muddy banks of highschool life and doing this I've noticed something as I meet and greet the other people as they make their way on by (sorry, Bright Eyes has this way of making me not want to in write anything but metaphors)...the accute apathy of my peers.

It goes like this:

As we all well know, I am a child who loves art, and is very proud of such a passion and hopes that others will be proud of me as well. I love to show off what I've done, and I love it when people love what I've done. Being as such, I often show my work to my peers, the Freshmen and the Photo 1 children, because they are rampid and plentiful...I'll get a few little courtesy mumurs of "Cool" and/or "Neat", but it's all filled with an obvious lack of care and/or understanding. I swear, novices are painful creatures to be around at times. In contrast, I get a fair amount of genuine compliments from the elders...

Oh well...as long as I like it, there is no need for the rest. I'm not going to stop being a visionary for the sake of some wretched peers.

This reminds of an incident that happend to me not but a couple of weeks ago. There was one of the Senior shows up in the gallery, and the topic had to do with obesity and being comfortable with yourself as you are. The artist had all of these paintings up of larger people, and a couple of sculptures to boot and then there were all of these freshmen who just thought it was hilarious and worth their undivided attention to make fun of.

And on a completely unrelated topic...don't you hate it when your purchase won't go through the register and a hundred and one price checks become the order of the day?

Bright Eye's folkier stuff really is so much better then Connar's experimental work.

Never thought I'd love the emo-folk genre of indie rock.

Tuesday, May 10, 2005

Oh, happy days!

Today I developed the negatives that had been a bi-product of the past weekend's excursions, and they turned out in perfect focus. This of course happend since I used another's camera (many thankyous, Miss Abigail).

In short, it was my camera, and not me...hooray! I do now however have to consider the purchasing of a new camera.

Mmmm...I think I want a Pentax.

Sunday, May 08, 2005

Alright, so I just got back from Claudia's about twenty minutes ago. Definitely a laugh and a half was had.

So yesterday as you might have read, Abbey, Claudia, and Hannah came over for a photoshoot. All went quite well, we got Jerusalem Cafe, some lovely jewlery, and Claudia was introduced to Jorge Frombolivia (because that might as well be his last name). Eventually we were kindly persuaded out of my abode by certain parental units, so we made our way over to Laudie's (minus the companionship of Hannah) and did all sorts of crazy things...like dress up in rediculous clothing and walk down to the local grocery for a case of some delightful soda that fizzes so much more then the average, mundane pop.

Ah man, holy shizzam it was fun!

And I got some lovely, lovely pictures.

Abbeh, you left Bright Eyes and The Shins over here, so I copied them into my computer...hope you don't mind. I'll get them back to you in the marrow.

Oh, and Happy Mum's Day.

Sunday, May 08, 2005

I am currently with a Claudia and an Abbey.

Saturday, May 07, 2005

Holy shizzam!

Today I've got an Abbey and whomever-else-is-available-between-the-two- of-us coming over today for a photoshoot. At least a laugh and a half of good entertainment should be guranteed for all.

Come over if you'd like. Leave a comment, so I can get back to you with a time.

Friday, May 06, 2005

Miss Maureen gets to go to Worlds of Fun tonight.

Thursday, May 05, 2005

Ah, poor Abbeh is mutaliting her scalp for the sake of vanity...there there, the chemical burn will go away soon enough.

So, I wish I had something more to report , but that just isn't going to happen. There is this lull in my life.

Well, there's the wee little news of not being able to obtain a new camera until the summer, which is really, really not going to help me all that much in the next three weeks.

I get to now play roulette with my art.

"I see myself change as the days change over..."

Wednesday, May 04, 2005

"I'll scally your wag!"-a pirate pick-up line, as brought to you by both Hannah and myself.

It's become mutually decided that the purchase of a new camera will most likely need to occur.

How I envy you...you with your nice, cooperative camera, and your nice, focused negatives.

Actually, my camera's become something of a Russian Roulette...sometimes a certain picture will turn out just fine, other times the negatives seem to be playing with this sort of double exposed disposition that really goes beyond just being out of focus.

This Saturday, it has been determined that a photoshoot is to be had at my place. Bring yourself.

Everytime you blink, God kills a kitten.
